Mumbai: Maharashtra recorded 766 new covid-19 infections and 19 new deaths in the last 24 hours even when active cases in the state remain below 10,000 for the third consecutive day, the health department said on Tuesday.
With the addition of new infections and fatality, Kaseload throughout the state increased to 66.31.297 and tolls to 1,40,766, the department said in a bulletin.
The country has reported eight new deaths and 656 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, the lowest day numbers since April 2020.
The Ministry of Health said 929 patients were dismissed from the hospital in the last 24 hours.
With this, the number of cases restored rose to 64.77,379.
The Covid-19 recovery rate in the state stands at 97.68 percent, while the case fatality rate is 2.12 percent.
Now there are 9,493 active cases in the state, said the bulletin.
At present, 85,335 people are in the housekeeper and 1,077 people are in institutional quarantine, he added.
The cumulative number of Coronavirus tests in the country rose to 6.48,44,896, where 87,506 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, said Bulletin.
Twelve districts and seven civil bodies did not report the new Covid-19 case.
Mumbai reported 190 new infections, followed by 102 in Pune City.
Among the eight administrative areas of Maharashtra (each consisting of a district set), the Mumbai region reported 310 new Covid-19 cases, followed by 243 in Pune and 142 in the Nashik region.
Among other things, the Kolhapur region recorded 24, Aurangabad 20, 15, nagpur eight and akola four.
Pune Region recorded seven deaths, Nashik Lima, Mumbai and the latch and kolhapur.
The Akola area, Nagpur and Aurangabad recorded zero death.
Among 9,493 cases of active coronavirus in the state, Mumbai Regency has the highest at 2,561, he said.
The official said from 64.77,379 patients recovered throughout the country, the highest – 11,37,450 – came from the Pune District.
