New Delhi: The state will extend full support to rehabilitate Maoists who surrender and bring it to the mainstream by allocating Rs 10 Crore by means of special funds for the Gadchiroli district, Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde said on Sunday, reported Manoj Badgeri.
Shinde interacts with the media a day after 26 Hardcore Maois, including the key leader of Naxal and Teltumbel, a Yavatmal resident, was shot dead on Saturday at Gadchiroli.
“The action is a big jolt for Naxal movements not only in Maharashtra but throughout the country,” Shinde said.
“We have put a plan to bring naxal areas into the mainstream and also deactivate rehabilitation plans for those who have given up.
I have issued instructions to allocate Hospital 10 Crore in the District Planning Fund to ensure Naxals can start their own business And independently, “he said.
