Thane: Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Maharera) has directed Thane collectors to attach the builder property and restore fees on the 80 lakh RS tone that can be paid to the buyer for the flap ownership which is postponed according to the order.
The guarantee of recovery issued by Dr.
Vasant Prabhu, Secretary Maharera last week has now sent a sense of relief among 15 residents who have invested in the Atlantis project in the Panchpakhadi area.
Residents have approached Maharera last December after failing to get their flat and also got contributions paid by the builder for the delay in ownership.
The project involving the construction of two multi-floor buildings with nearly 150 flats must be completed in 2012 but delayed after the buyer who approached the Rera in 2018 which directed the developer to pay interest starting March 2019 until when they got home.
“Rera previously ordered the developer to pay interest in accordance with the mandate in the Real Estate Law, 2016 which collectively worked to Rs 1.6 CR Lakh.
While the developer failed to pay the same, he actually demanded that we pay the amount of balance for our flats.
We reasoned That as payment of the collective balance for all flats is not above the 80 lakh RS, the same thing can be adjusted to its contribution, but he refuses, after we approach the Rera, “said a resident.
Rera heard things last December where developers denied residential claims and seeking the termination of the application rejected by the body.
“It is clear that the builder delays the payment of the number of interest to the buyer according to the previous order issued by Maharera and also failed to hand over ownership to them.
The population has the right to seek interest,” said the command by Dr.
Prabhu.
Vinod Doilati, Director at the Stg Group developed the project to TI that the number of interests was quoted by residents was not verified and needed repairs.
Even so, the developer claimed he would soon approach residents to take their flat and resolve the earliest problem.
