ULHASNAGAR: In a significant setback for the ruling Shiv Sena at Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC), BJP candidate Deepak Sirwani alias Tony on Wednesday won the most major status committee chairman election unopposed following his rival candidate Kulwantsingh Sahota alias Bitu Bhai withdrew his nomination in lack of bulk.
Before, the standing committee chairman belonged on the Shiv Sena.
At the analysis, the BJP obtained the much-needed aid in the Republican Party of India, that had been previously linked to the Shiv Sena.
For this, Shiv Sena retains the mayor’s article whilst RPI and BJP maintain deputy mayor and reputation committee chairman’s articles respectively.
