Nagpur: A young man who allegedly forced his girlfriend to call a nude video to prove his love, then record the action and use it to threaten it later in Maharashtra, the police said on Wednesday.
The defendant, a resident of Hingangphat City in Wardha District, has been indicted by the persecution, criminal intimidation and various other violations based on complaints submitted by the 18-year-old victim in the police jaripatka in Nagpur, they said.
According to the police, the girl, Nagpur residents, were friends with men on Facebook in May last year.
The friendship developed into love and they began dating with each other.
Then, the girl introduced the man to a female friend.
After some time, he began to ignore the victim and be friends with his friend, they said.
Angry at his behavior, the girl fought her.
The defendant then asked the girl to prove her love for her by making nude video calls, police said.
The man recorded a video call and save it on his cellphone, they said.
Last month, he threatened to share video clips on social media, police said.
The case against the man has been registered in the relevant IPC section, the protection of children from the sexual law (Act Pocso) and IT Law, they added.
