Mumbai: Railway Hospital Division Division Central train in Kalyan was awarded the national energy conservation award-2021 for energy efficiency in the hospital sector.
General Train Manager Anil Kumar Lahoti said, “The train continues to make efforts to save energy.
This award at the national level is the recognition of the efforts taken by the central train to make the hospital sector more energy efficient.
Central Railway will continue March in Reach the Renewable Energy Generation Target December at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi.
Under the building category, Divisional Railway Hospital, Kalyan, which has achieved energy efficiency 62.18% has been chosen by the Committee and awards given to extraordinary achievement in energy efficiency.
Various steps adopted by Kalyan Hospital, such as the installation of solar plant grid roof, energy-saving BLDC fans, conventional light fitting replacement with LED lights, supplying Bee Star air conditioning etc.
resulting in an increase in energy saving by 36.5%.
This also resulted in an increase in the generation of renewable energy of 63.48%.
These steps have helped reduce electricity unit consumption by 49.74%.
