Maharashtra: CET Engineering in 2 phases from September 4

Pune: CET Country cells will conduct an online entry test (CET) for acceptance to undergraduate engineering and technology, pharmaceutical and faculty of agriculture programs in two phases.
The first phase will start from September 4 to September 10 and the second phase will start September 14 to September 20.
The state minister of higher education and technical Uday Samant made an announcement on Wednesday at Pune.
The Minister also announced dates for other ideas.
While the faculty of education related CETS will begin on August 26, the program for legal courses is scheduled to start from September 16.
Ticket courses to MBA, MCA, March and hotel management will begin on August 26.
However, the Minister clarifies that this is a tentative date and can change if the pandemic situation changes in the state.
Samant said CET cells were told to increase the number of inspection centers to ensure that they were not too dense.
“Unlike the previous years when there were around 250 exam centers, the number would increase 100 to 150 centers,” he said.
The reopening minister of universities from the upcoming academic year said he wanted college in the state to reopen physically from this academic year but there would be no blanket decisions about it.
“Director of technical and high education has been told to take reviews of all districts by talking to the district collector.
After their report on the Covid-19 situation in certain districts in, we will make a decision about the reopening after a discussion with the Disaster Management Authority.
Will try to accelerate vaccination among college students either by using corporate social responsibility funds or funds available with universities, “he added.
