Maharashtra: Commuter who is nervous about the rules of double-jab, say up to 50% important workers are partially vaxxed

Mumbai: Local train commuter ordinary irritations on the authorities for what they call “disparity” between them and important category workers.
While the average commuter must comply with multiple vaccinations, passenger activists show the fact that only about 50% of important workers in Thane and 72% in Mumbai have fully vaccinated.
As a result, activists have questioned the policy that allows a large number of individuals who are vaccinated in part to share the macump suburban train compartment.
Experts say that most workers are important, given the nature of their work, will be exposed to the virus now.
According to BMC, 3.04 lakh health services and frontline in Mumbai have taken the covid vaccine dose, accounts for 72% of the targeted population of categories.
But 1.21 lakh workers from this category, produce only 29% of the target, only taking the first dose.
As for Thane City, only 15,707 health workers, or 49% of 32,017 are targeted, have taken both doses.
The appropriate number of frontline workers is 13,378, or 55% of the target 24,135.
Frontline workers including police and city staff, among others.
Activists have asked questions about the reasons behind this disparity.
Some experts feel that even if a small portion of a partially vaccinated segment using a train, they can pose a risk for fellow commuters.
“Having a single dose health care traveler, which is directly related to covid patients, can pose a risk for others by considering rushes and connecting contacts by train.
There are some cases where some people who are fully vaccinated have been infected.
So, be careful Hearts must be done, “said Dr.
Santosh Kadam, President, Thane Chapter of the Indian Medical Association.
Siddhesh Desai, a suburban train activist from Kalwa, said this step to allow only a fully vaccinated individual was “unfair”.
“We plan to approach the authorities in this matter.
It is unfair to those who have taken a single dose and still have to spend a lot of money to travel to work,” he said.
However, Dr Avinash Supe, Former Kem Dean and Head of the Death Covid Audit Committee, said that health workers and frontline workers had been exposed to the virus to a greater level and for a longer time.
“Many of them have gotten infections, in this case even a single dose will act as a booster,” he said.
Supplementary City Commissioner Suresh Kakani said that if they were not permitted to travel, important services would be beaten.
Citizenship officials also maintain that the number of health workers and higher front lines have been fully vaccinated than shown in the record.
“Many have taken the second dose but because they register with different numbers, Co-Win does not record their full vaccination status,” the official said, added that they expect duplication of 25% -30%.
A senior official from Central Railway said, “We follow the same process to publish tickets or pass to health workers and frontline workers as mandated before August 15.
There is no protocol set to enable people who are fully vaccinated from this segment.
