Mumbai: Daily Covid detection in Maharashtra fell below 15,000 on Tuesday, while Mumbai reported below 1,000 cases for the second day in a row.
Daily toll roads in the city down to one digit (7) – the lowest since January 18 when seven deaths were reported.
While the case reported a decline, death in the state reported an increase of 140%, soaring to 94 of the 39 deaths reported on Monday.
Officials said that some deaths added to the state counting came from the last few days.
With the addition of 14,372 fresh cases on Tuesday, the Covid-19 Maharashtra case rose to 77.35 lakh.
The total number of state mortality has touched 1,42,705.
Although testing in high amounts, Mumbai registered 803 cases, taking a total case to 10.46 lakh.
Active cases in the city continued to fall from 9,900 on Monday to 8,888 on Tuesday.
The number of critical patients dipped below 500 (472) and ICU occupancy also fell to 677 from 900-plus a week to the back.
BMC updates show that only five buildings are sealed in the city today.
“We have done 51,492 tests and found 803 patients.
The test level of the test has fallen sharply,” said a BMC official.
Of the more than 25% of the test level of tests in early January, the figure fell to 1.5%.
BMC has relieved restrictions in the city, but a senior doctor warned that the number could increase slightly because more activities and crowding had been permitted.
“The decrease in the case occurs because the environment is controlled.
With easing within the limits, some increases in cases can occur.
The best is covering and vaccinating,” he suggested.
Officials from the state government said Mumbai was in a safe zone as it is now because all parameters are controlled, and the situation in other districts that reported a surge, including Pune, Nashik and Nagpur, also declined.
An official said the state government’s decision to facilitate relaxation based on vaccine coverage would encourage districts that have not reached that level to accelerate the process.
“It is unfortunate that there are only 11 districts in the state that have reached 70% full vaccination and 90% of single dose coverage of 18+ populations, but new policies will encourage people to make themselves vaccinate less,” he added officially.
