Mumbai: Maharashtra remains loyal to the trend of spiking cases on Wednesday, registering more than 1,000 cases after six days, but the city cuts it and continues to register less than 300 cases everyday.
The state reported 1,003 cases and 32 deaths on Wednesday.
In Mumbai, the count was 275 cases detected from 39,364 tests, which were higher than 35,000 usual tests every day.
Except for Wednesday (3 and 10 November), city calculations have been under 300 cases since November 1.
Daily deaths in this city are less than five for a week now, with only two deaths registered on Wednesday.
Although the number of buildings closed increased from 15 to 18 in a 24 hour period, civilian doctors said hospitalization had not increased.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope clarified that the government had not yet decided on a blanket policy to reject services to citizens who were not vaccinated.
“We realize vaccination is voluntary, and the government takes steps to clear the misunderstanding in the minds of people who keep them away so they are not vaccinated.
Some districts may have carried out several experiments to increase their number of vaccines, but there is no uniform policy at the state level, “Tope said.
State officials noted that there was no surge even more than 10 days since Diwali, but warned of a decline in testing in many districts.
“Some districts only do 30% of their total capacity, these districts have been asked to increase testing,” said an official.
