Pune: Minister of Health State Rajesh Tope on Thursday searched 3 doses of crore vaccines for the country at video conferencing with the health minister of Uni, Mansukh Mandaviya.
“I have asked the center to give us more doses.
The Union Minister has noted it.
If the center gives us sufficient doses, we must be able to complete the vaccination of all adults in the state in the next two months,” said Minister of Health.
About six crore receivers have been given a dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Maharashtra so far.
From them, around 1.62 crore residents have received the dose.
Tope said intensifying drive vaccination was the main strategy in Maharashtra because among countries had the highest number of active cases.
He stressed to vaccinate as many people as possible before the upcoming celebration.
The State Cabinet on Wednesday discussed a unique vaccination strategy in Pune, where the local body binded the industry to get a vaccine under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
The state government states all districts to follow the same plan to speed up drive vaccination.
