New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday convinced Maharashtra Maharashtra Chairperson Uddhav Thackeray from all possible support from the center to mitigate situations that arise in various parts of the country due to rainfall and flood.

Previously, on Thursday, Thackeray held an emergency meeting to take stock of flood situations in Ratnagiri and Raigad in the country, which was caused by heavy rain that had backed the region for the past 24 hours.

Two teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rushed to the Khed and Chiplun Ratnagiri area to overcome the critical situation due to tide and heavy rain.
Two more teams have been mobilized for each rescue operation for Khed in Ratnagiri and for Mahad in Raigad, from Pune headquarters.
The National Forecasting Agency of the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has issued a red and orange warning for several regions in the state that will receive heavy rainfall in the next three days.
