Maharashtra government school launched self-evaluation this week

Pune: More than one lakh state government country will start a self-evaluation program under the Union Government Shaala Siddhi program from this week.
Training to school teachers for this year’s program will be carried out by MSCERT from Tuesday.
Experts in the field have said there has been a three-year gap on external evaluation of schools with the same scheme.
Educational officials say that external evaluation will only begin when they receive approval from the Workers Government.
Joint Director at MSCert, Vikas Garad, said, “self-evaluation is considered a nucleus of the school evaluation process.
It facilitates schools to evaluate the critical performance area.
Every school needs to follow the guidelines to make an accurate professional assessment.” The duration of the self-evaluation process can range from Two to six months according to the context, size and needs of the school.
All schools are expected to complete the process of self-evaluation and upload dashboards such as and when they are ready.
However, all schools need to break the deadline for the self-evaluation process as stated by the state.
As part of SSEF, school evaluation dash, e-samiksha has been developed to facilitate each school to provide consolidated evaluation reports, including areas prioritized for improvement.
The dash is developed in print and digital format.
Garad said, “The dashboard obtained from each school will be consolidated at the cluster level, block, district, state and national to identify the specific needs of the school and the field of general intervention to improve school performance.
