Thane: The Maharashtra government has given its agreement to increase three-fold the capacity of the bed in the 900 Thane Civil Hospital, a state minister said.
At present, there are around 300 beds in the hospital.
The State Health Department on Wednesday approved a plan to increase hospitals.
The capacity of the bed will be increased to 900, which is three times the existing capacity.
This will be a super-specialization hospital, Sena’s senior leader and Minister Guardian Thane Eknath Shinde said in a statement.
This improved facility will have 500 beds for general patients, 200 for women and children and 200 super special beds, he said.
