Pune: In view of the festive season and the opening of the ongoing process, the Additional Chief Secretary of State, Pradeep Vyas, has directed all the collectors and commissioners to increase vaccination drive in their district.
He has asked them that drive daily vaccination should include at least 1% of the beneficiaries of the 18-plus qualified in their districts.
This is the desired minimum level, and can be improved further, he added.
With a target population into 9.14 crore Maharashtra, the state set a goal of 9-10 lakh daily dosing in October.
Additional chief secretary said that each district should also identify areas where vaccination campaigns have not taken, and concentrate on the bags.
“We need to increase the vaccination rate Covid in our country because we have received increasing doses of the vaccine in October,” he said.
The state received nearly two crore doses of vaccine this month.
“In September, the average rate of vaccination in the country around 7.5 lakh doses per day, and with increasing dose we can easily achieve an average vaccination rate 9-10 lakh doses per day of this month,” said Vyas TOI , State officials say that of the targeted population 9.14 crore, nearly 6.14 crore doses should be given in rural areas.

Vyas further added that the aim is to increase the speed of vaccination so that even if the number of cases rose Covid least severe illness and deaths can be prevented.
The country currently has less than 35,000 cases of active covid.
Task Force members Covid State said that the state government has issued guidelines for implementing the process of opening from time to time, and this should be followed in letter and spirit.
