Mumbai: The Meteorology Department of India (IMD) on Monday issued a yellow warning with estimates of heavy rain in isolated places in the area of Thane and Palghar in Maharashtra for the next two days.
Nasik, Pune, Satara, Aurangabad, Jalna and Kolhapur Regency have been placed on orange warnings with estimates of heavy rain to very heavy in isolated places on Wednesday.
IMD has predicted heavy rain in Mumbai and the suburbs on Wednesday.
Mumbai City has received 10.05 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours ending 8 am on Monday.
The eastern suburbs recorded 36.55 mm and the western edge recorded 22.11 mm rainfall, according to BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Meanwhile, a high wave of 3.48 meters is expected at 17:23 in Mumbai on Monday.
BMC said the lake that supplied water to the city had 82 percent of shares, which was sufficient for 308 days.
