The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted ‘moderate to intense spells’ in Palghar, Dahanu among other places on Friday.
Head of SID at the Climate Research and Services Pune, KS Hosalikar stated that there is a possibility of ‘moderate to intense spells’ now in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad.
The scientist further predicted that the rainfall to continue for the next two to three hours.

These places are very likely to receive moderate to intense spells during three to four hours,” he earlier tweeted.

The IMD further predicted ‘light to moderate rain in city and suburbs’ in the next 48 hours.
