Mumbai: Maharashtra on Sunday reported 2,294 positive cases of Coronavirus and 28 deaths while 1,823 patients recovered, said the state health department.
The new addition to encourages the calculation of infection to 65.77,872, the death toll becomes 1,39,542 and the number of recovery becomes 64.01.287, leaving Maharashtra with 33,449 active cases on Sunday, he said.
With 1,40,847 new tests, the number of samples tested so far in Maharashtra rose to 6.01.98.174.
The level of recovery of Maharashtra cases was at 97.32 percent and the mortality rate was 2.12 percent, the department said.
The city of Mumbai reported 445 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths, took the calculation of infection on financial capital to 7.48,640 and the toll road to 16,158.
The Mumbai division added 860 new cases and nine deaths, which raised the cashier to 16,86,337 and overall death to 35,353, the department said.
The Nashik division saw 511 cases including 399 in the Ahmednagar district.
Division Pune reported 647 cases, Division Kolhapur 149, Aurangabad Division 33, the Latur 74 Division, Division Akola 8 and Nagpur Division 12.
