Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 6,126 positive cases of new Coronavirus and 195 deaths on Wednesday, while 7,436 patients recovered from infection during the day, said a health official.
With this, the total Covid-19 calculation in the country rose to 63.27,194 and the death toll became 1,33,410, while the number of recovery had reached 61.17,560.
There are 72,810 cases of active infections in the current country, the official said, added that while 4,47,681 people were in the quarantine of the house, 2,928 were in the institutional quarantine.
The Maharashtra recovery rate is now at 96.69 percent and the mortality rate is 2.01 percent.
The total number of countries rose to 4.87.44.201 after 2,11,678 tests carried out in the state in the last 24 hours, the official said.
Nagpur Regency, Parbhani and Nandurbar and Corporate City of Bhiwandi Nizampar and Parbhani did not report the new Coronavirus case.
Among the eight areas of Maharashtra, Pune reported 2,277 cases of the highest new Covid-19, followed by 1,512 cases in Kolhapur.
The Mumbai region reported 952 cases, Nashik 909, Pinally 315, Aurangabad 97, Akola 38 and the Nagpur region reported 26 cases.
According to officials, among the 195 deaths of eight regions, the highest number of 54 was reported from the Kolhapur region, followed by 50 from the Pune region.
The Mumbai region reported 27 deaths, Aurangabad 26, Nashik 25, the Latur 12 and Akola regions only reported one death, the official said, added that the Nagpur region did not report new deaths.
The city of Mumbai witnessed 263 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths, while Pune City reported 273 new cases and four deaths.
Pune District has the highest number of 15,216 active cases, the official said, added that among 61.17,560 patients who had recovered throughout the country, the highest number of 10.58,949 came from Pune District.
