Maharashtra Logs 4.3K New Covid Case, Mumbai 272

Mumbai: While Maharashtra and Mumbai reported an increase in the case on Tuesday, the city only reported a Covid-19 death for the second time in the last three days.
Maharashtra reported 4,355 cases and 119 deaths took the total case to 64.3 lakh and death to 1,36,355.
In addition to 119 deaths reported on Tuesday, 169 old deaths were added to cumulative victims as part of data reconciliation exercises.
Mumbai added 272 cases.
With this, the total Covid Caseload City rose to 7.4 lakh and death touched 15,952.
Civil authorities say they will continue to test higher numbers considering the Delta variants have been found in 70% of samples sent for genome sequencing.
The BMC Genome Laboratory found Delta on 128 of the 188 sampled samples.
The level of city’s position, which constantly inched up, reached 0.93% on Tuesday.
It has floated between 0.5% and 0.7% between August 15 and August 21.
Active cases in the country also remain below 50,000 for the second day in a row.
State government officials have been 10 days since sidewalk easing, but there is no significant increase in the case.
“The actual challenge is the upcoming season festival.
The district machine has been asked to apply the right norms of tight covids,” an official said.
