Mumbai: Covid-19 case in Mumbai rose to high 52 days, but the state reported swimming in a new detection as a whole.
The country reported 4,057 cases and 67 deaths, taking the total case cases to 64.86 lakh and tolls to 1,37,774.
Mumbai reported 495 cases on Sunday, the highest since July 15 (528) and two deaths.
With this, the total case in the city rose to 7.46 lakh and deaths of up to 15,993.
Active cases in the state fell to 50,095 from more than 52,000 on Saturday, while Mumbai’s active case rose to 4,003 from 3,561 a day ago.
Among the existing Covid patients, 52% in house isolation or in covid care centers because they do not have a few symptoms; 48% of patients were in hospitals 16.7% were on oxygen support and almost 7% in the ICU.
State officials and members of the State Task Force said that the testing number must be increased.
The Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray said on Sunday that it was in the hands of people to invite the third wave or prevent it.
He said that even though the case had fallen in the country, we could not let our guard down.
“We can’t let the pandemic endemic.
We must really defeat him,” Thackeray said.
He claimed that maybe Maharashtra was the only country that had increased his health infrastructure to overcome pandemics “like no other country that had done”.

Pradeep Vyas said the country had the capacity to conduct 3 lakh tests a day and more than 2.5 Lakh tests had been carried out on several days.
“However, testing has begun to fall from the end of August, partly because fewer cases are detected and therefore there are fewer contacts to be tested.” He said.
Officers said that with cases of rising in districts where the ganpati festival was celebrated in a large way, it was needed that the district administration did not let their guard down.
