Maharashtra Logs 6K New Covid Case, Mumbai 331

Mumbai: The first week of August ended positive notes as a daily detection of the Covid-19 case dipped by 50% in the city and more than 30% for the country compared to the first week of July.
With the addition of 6,061 cases on Saturday, the country’s weekly counting went to 41,774 cases, which was almost 32% lower than 61,489 cases detected in the first seven days of July.
However, there was no change of fatality: 1,053 deaths were reported in the first week of July and 1,054 at the same time in August.
The Nagpur district only adds a new case, lower than the Gadchiroli district dominated by tribes that add 7 cases.
Kaseload daily in Mumbai continues to fluctuate between 250 and 350, with 332 cases registered on Saturday.
In the first week of August, the city’s calculation was established at 2,203, which was half of 4,086 cases detected in the first week of July.
The weekly toll road has also been 53, which is much lower than 122 deaths reported in the first week of July.
A BMC official said his daily deaths in Mumbai have been less than 1% of the total cases in most days during the second wave, which began in the last week of February and continued so far.
In the first week of August, everyday death has been 10 or less, with five deaths registered on Saturday.
Previously in a week, on August 3, only three were registered.
Active cases in the country fell to 71,050 cases, where 4,836 was still in care in Mumbai.
The situation in many districts such as Satara, Sangli and Ahmednagar related to almost double detection cases in Mumbai, an official said.
