Thane: The train police in Kalyan Maharashtra have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly kidnapping a 14-year-old girl from Madhya Pradesh, an official said on Tuesday.
Arvind Kailas Singh’s accusation, the native of Patharia in Damoh Madhya Pradesh, allegedly kidnapped minor from a village, said Senior Inspector Valmiki Shardul.
Train police personnel have found a girl on a platform at the Kalyan train station on June 27, and with questions, it was found that the victim’s parents had seen it and were accused of Pune and took him back to Madhya Pradesh, when the defendant escaped with him.
While Singh has been ordered because of the kidnapping and handed over to the Madhya Pradesh police, minors have been returned to their parents, the official added.
