Pune: The country’s weekly front level has dropped to 1.35% for the seven-day period ended November 9, with the level of Pune regency remains above 2%, said the Public Health Department report was presented in the cabinet on Wednesday.
Eleven districts in the state have a weekly leading level (WPR) floating between 1.50% and 2.50%.
State health officials said they maintained a close watch in the post-diwali period.
Daily cases in the state are in the range of 800-1,000, with active cases remain in the range of 12,000-15,000.
In the past seven days, most of the new cases were detected in Mumbai, followed by Pune, Thane, Ahmednagar and Nashik and other districts, health department data showed.
Members of the State Task Force Dr.
Shashank Joshi told TI that the number of tests had fallen in the state, with less than 1 lakh test between October 31 and November 9 November.
“We need to increase testing and search.
We cannot be satisfied, especially in districts that see more cases.
Testing in this geography must be improved,” he said, adding that cases were considered especially among the populations that were not vaccinated.
