Nagpur: A group of Maoists allegedly burned 11 tractors and two JCB machines involved in road construction work in Gadchiroli Maharashtra Regency, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the village of Irapnagar in Bhamragadh Tehsil around 2pm on Friday, where they also burned one Poclain engine, a senior police official said.
“About 40 to 50 Maoists are involved in the incident.
They are members in and militia,” he said.
A burning vehicle and other machines belonging to different contractors involved in road construction work, he added.
According to the official, the police have registered a violation and launched the probe.
