Aurangabad: Officials of the Forest Department arrested two monkeys on Saturday morning from the village of Laul Majalgaon in the Bed District in the midst of the monkey-monkey report that lifted the puppies and killed them.
Animal activist Siddharth Sonawne has an explanation.
He told TOI that monkeys usually dress each other, and eat insects being picked from their respective hair.
“I feel a monkey might just look for bugs in puppies.
However, because they can’t do this on the ground, they bring the puppies to the roof and the terrace they feel safe.” Local residents, however, felt the monkey had been Looking for revenge.
They said that some wild dogs had previously killed monkey babies, and since then, monkeys have raised puppies.
“These monkeys carry puppies to the roof and terraces that are not used or inaccessible,” said Dattatray, a village resident.
In all cases, dogs die – they are starving or allegedly thrown from the roof with monkeys.
As a result, the villagers began to drive monkeys.
However, the monkey also began behaving aggressively with humans.
During the past four months, at least 40 puppies reportedly died.
Initially, the monkeys were used to bring these puppies to the roof of a resident-owned house called Balasebasilb Bhagat.
“When we realized that the puppies were starving, we tried to feed him.
However, the monkeys then shifted dogs to other roofs that were inaccessible in the village,” said Bhagat.
Taking awareness of the demand for villagers to control monkeys, binding administration in the Ministry of Forestry.
Thus, traps are placed early on Saturdays and two adult monkeys arrested.
