Mumbai: Schools in Maharashtra can begin to do more physical classes from August 17 as long as the level of Covid-19 infection in the area is low, orders issued by the state government on Tuesday.
The decision to reopen more classes has been announced last week.
Physical classes for STD 5 to 7 will be permitted in rural areas from August 17, official release words.
Physical classes for STD 8 to 12 have been held in most rural areas.
Classes for STD 8 to 12 can be continued in urban areas, the statement said.
Safe! You have managed to put your votoggin to see the results that can be produced, the state task force in the Covid-19 pandemic has suggested against the school that was opened offline.
Dr.
Shashank Joshi, a member of the task of the unit, said on Monday that there was evidence that schools and religious places were ‘super spreaders’ viral infections.
The final decision on whether to allow the physical class will be taken by a committee led by each city commissioner in urban areas and district collectors in rural areas.
Other committe members will become environmental officers, medical officers and education officers.
The area where the school will be reopened must have a very low prevalence of Covid-19 for the past month, and district collectors must regulate vaccination teachers and other school staff against Covid-19, the statement said.
“To avoid crowding, parents must be prohibited from entering the school building.
The number of students in class can be around 15-20, sitting six feet apart from each other,” he said.
Priority must be given to teaching core subjects, and if a student tests positive infections, the school must be closed and dissed by the statement.
