Nagpur: Nagpur Zonal Unit from the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) on Monday said that it has damaged the racket involving a refund of cheating from input tax loans (ITC) to RS 213.87 Crore tone by three companies that do not exist.
Racket, which involves companies that have no self pampering themselves in the export of tobacco products ‘doubt’ from ICD-Mihan and then claiming ITC refunds, found following several searches in Nagpur starting from July 1, DGGI officials said.
“Some instructions have been obtained about the mastermind behind the racket.
While 123.97 crore from the refund of this fraud has been processed by the CGST division in Hingna in the first week of June, the timely intervention by DGGI has stopped RS 89.90 Crore’s refund is being processed, “An official said.
