Kalyan: Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) Commissioner Vijay Suryawanhi has been tested positive Coronavirus, said a citizenship official on Wednesday.
RT-PCR Suryawanshi’s report on Wednesday came out to be positive for infection.
He experienced a mild fever and is currently under house isolation at his residence in Kalyan.
Civil sources say that Suryawanshi, after taking a vaccine booster dose on January 10, is experiencing mild symptoms.
Previously, he thought fever could be a reaction to the dose of booster.
However, when fever did not subside, he could be tested on Tuesday and the report on Wednesday came out positive.
A senior KDMC official said that so far in this third wave, around 75 KDMC staff, including Commissioners and Health Officers Dr.
Pratibha Patpatil, has tested Covid-19 positive.
