Mumbai: Mumbai: Search operations in the Raigad Maharashtra district ended, with 31 missing people in Tatiye Village declared dead, PTI reported on Monday.
Raigad’s district government has decided to call a search operation in Tatiye village which was damaged by massive landslides last week due to heavy rain.
The rain has brought havoc in several parts of Maharashtra which leads to floods, landslides and claim a lot of life.
So far, 53 people killed in the village and five were injured, while 31 people were still missing and they would be declared dead after the legal process, said Collector District Nidhi Chaudhari.

The collector said the decision to call search operations was taken after searching for the opinion of the National Disaster (NDRF) and the power of the country’s disaster and neighboring countries of the Thane District.

Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad said Mhada would order a pre-great house and then sent them to Tatiye Village in the next few weeks.
“Rescue operations have ended officially.

relatives of missing people demanding the operation closure since yesterday,” the collector said.
Appreciating the sentiment from the survivors and relatives of the missing people, the operation to find 31 missing people has been officially canceled, he added.
The Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray visited the village on Saturday and said when landslides were proven to be fatal in many parts of the country, the government would come up with a plan to move people who live permanently.
In accordance with the state government, the death toll in Raigad Regency which has reached 71, while 53 people are still missing.
