Pune: More than 26,000 trucks loaded with goods have been stuck on the highway between Pune, Konkan and Kolhapur for three days in the midst of flooding in many parts, influencing supply of various commodities.
Full closure or part of the road to the Konkan and Kolhapur regions have resulted in more than 13,000 plate transportation places trapped in various places.
Baba Shinde, President of the State of Maharashtra Vahan Chalak Malak Pritinidhi Sanghatna, said the vehicle was mainly stranded near the plazas toll and the highway restaurants.
Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation officials have been on Friday that bus traffic from Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur to Konkan have been stopped.
