Mumbai: Rain subsided in the city on Thursday after a wet spell that had been established since the beginning of the week.
However, weather officials say that rain activities are no longer expected to pick up next week’s steps because of the low pressure area which tends to form above Bay Bay.
IMD has issued a green warning until Sunday shows moderate rain.
However, for Monday the yellow warning for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad have been issued showing heavy rain in isolated places.
On Thursday, the sky was clearly observed throughout the day with heavy rain recorded.
The IMD Colaba Observatory in nine hours ended at 5:30 a.m.
recorded 1 mm of rain while the Observatory Santacruz did not record rainfall.
This season, 2983.7mm Rain has been recorded in the city, which is 842.4 mm above normal.
Meanwhile, the total water stock in the lake met with the needs of Mumbai reaching 14.31 lakh million liters or 98.87% of the quantity needed.
The beneficial water content in the largest lake of Mumbai’s needs stands above 99%.
