Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 4,145 new Koronavirus cases and 100 new deaths on Monday, took the calculation of infection to 63.96,805 and the death toll became 1.35,139, a state health department official said.

The state has 3,53,129 quarantine people at home and 2,530 in institutional quarantine, according to officials.
The recovery rate of Covid-19 Maharashtra is now at 96.86 percent, while the mortality rate is 2.11 percent, he said.
The cumulative number of tests carried out in the country rose to 5.11.11.895, where 1,52,165 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, the official said.

Among the eight areas of Maharashtra, the Pune region reported the highest new case at 1,799 followed by 600 cases in the Kolhapur region.
Among other regions, Nashik reported 769 cases, Mumbai 465, Latur 169, Akola 21, while the area of ​​Aurangabad and Nagpur respectively registered 11 infections, the official said.
Of the 100 fatalities, the highest 46 was reported from the Aurangabad region, followed by 19 of the Kolhapur region, he said.
Significantly, the territory of Akola and Nagpur did not report fresh fatality, while the Pune region enrolled 17 deaths, Mumbai 11, Nashik Lima and the Latur area.
The official said Mumbai witnessed 195 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths, while Pune City reported 148 infections, but no new death.
Among 62,452 active cases in the state, the Pune district had the highest at 14,610, he said.
The official said among 61.95,744 patients were restored throughout the country, the highest – 10.71,040 – derived from Pune District.
