Mumbai: Maharashtra on Wednesday reports 4,456 new cases of Coronavirus, taking overall kidelity to 64.69,332.
Also, 183 fatalities were recorded in the highest state (98) in the Pune area – which encouraged the death toll to 1.37,496.
According to the Ministry of Health officials, 4,430 patients recovered in the state in the last 24 hours, and the total number of recovery now stands at 62.77.230.
Maharashtra is now left with 51,078 active cases.
The level of recovery of Maharashtra cases is now at 97.03 percent while the mortality rate is 2.12 percent, he said.
The rural part of Dhule, Jalna, Hingoli and Washim Regency and the Malegaon City, Dhule, and Nanded companies did not report fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The official said the Ahmednagar district reported the highest number of 653 cases in Maharashtra, followed by the Pune rural part with 608 infections.
The highest number of fatalities throughout the city was reported at Pune (32) in the last 24 hours, the official said.
Of the eight areas in Maharashtra, the Pune region saw 2,018 the highest new case followed by 876 infections in the Mumbai region.
Nashik The area reported 783 fresh infections, Kolhapur 545, 154, Aurangabad 33, Akola 22 and Nagpur 25, said the official.
Of the 183 fatalities reported from eight regions, the highest 98 came from the Pune region, followed by 59 deaths in the Kolhapur region.
In particular, the Nagpur region did not report new deaths due to Covid-19 infection.
The Mumbai area saw 13 deaths, Nashik nine, Akola Dua and Aurangabad and his respective monastics, the official added.
The city of Mumbai saw 415 new cases and four Covid-19 deaths while Pune City added 324 infections and 32 fatalities, he said.
Among 51,078 active patients in Maharashtra, Pune District had a highest number of 14,091 cases like that, according to officials.
Of the 62.77,230 patients recovered in the state, the highest number of 10,86,386 recovery was reported from Pune District.
With 1,78,004 new tests, the number of samples tested so far in Maharashtra reached 5,41,54,890, the official said.
As many as 2,90,427 people were in the quarantine of houses in the state and 2,071 patients were in institutional quarantine, according to officials.
