Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 5,108 new Coronavirus cases and 159 lives on Thursday took the calculation of infection to 64.42,788 and the death toll for 1,36,730, said a health department official.
4736 patients were sent back from hospitals, taking the cumulative amount of patients recovering for 62,52,150.
The state has 2.93,147 people at the quarantine house, 2334 in institutional quarantine and 50,393 active patients.
The recovery rate of Maharashtra case stands at 97.04 percent while the mortality rate is 2.12 percent.
The cumulative number of Coronavirus tests conducted in the state rose to 5,30,48,070 with 2,07,265 samples tested on Thursday.
Seven districts – Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Jalna, Hingoli, Akola and Nagpur – together with Chandrapur, Amravati, Akola, Nanded, Parbhani and Malegaon did not record the case of the new Coronavirus during the day.
Satara Regency reported 821 newest infections on Thursday, followed by Pune District with 658 new infections.
Satara Regency was also recorded at the highest 32 deaths.
Among the eight regions of Maharashtra, the Pune region reported the highest 2450 covid-19 case, followed by 851 cases in the Mumbai region.
The Kolhapur region reported 827 new cases, Nashik Region 744, Territory Territory 185, Nagpur Region 18, Aurangabad Region 17 and Akola Region 16.
The highest 73 deaths were reported from the Pune region, followed by 31 fatalities from the Kolhapur area.
Significantly, the Akola region did not report any fresh death, while the Nashik region was reported 21 fatalities, Mumbai 20, 10 and Aurangabad and Nagpur in the area of two deaths.
The city of Mumbai witnessed 398 new Covid-19 cases and seven deaths, while Pune City reported 316 new cases and 13 fresh deaths.
Of the 50,393 active patients in the state, Pune District accused 13,085 highs.
