Thane: Six people have been arrested in connection with the Dako case in Navi Mumbai, where a jewelry allegedly robbed cash in a tone of Rs 19 lakh, police said on Friday.
The defendant allegedly robbed the jewelry from the Ambjogai District Bed in Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai on November 27, an official said.
The defendant threw chili powder at the victim, when the latter got off the bus and seized him with gunpoint, he said.
After the incident, a case registered in Kamothe and the police focused on charges based on technical and intelligence input and arrested them from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Karnataka, officials said.
The defendant has been identified as the Aniket of Joma Mhatre (23), Kartik Sushil Sinha (24), Kiran Vijay Pawar (21), Bhima Ramrao Pawar (21), Manoj Gurmya Rathod (22), Laxman Subash Rathod (21), he said.
The police have recovered three weapons, RS 19 lakh cash and two vehicles used in the crime, officially added.
