Bhiwandi: A 14-year-old boy died while taking a selfie in an illegal building which was destroyed in part in Bhiwandi.
The police said the teenager lost his balance and fell from the second floor of the building.
He was identified as Mohammad Ubaid Sheikh.
Police Shanti Nagar has registered an accidental report and further investigation.
The police said that the two-story building located in the Piranipada area of ​​Bhiwandi was illegal.
It was partly destroyed by Bhiwandi-Nizampura City Municipal Corporation about a year ago.
It was empty since then and there was no security guard posted there.
The police said that because easy access to the building, ordinary children often played to play.
Ubaid is one of those who went to play on the second floor of the building on Monday night.
The accident happened while Ubaid stood on the edge of the terrace, took a selfie.
He lost balance and fell to the ground, suffering a head injury.
Ubaid rushed to the hospital where the doctor said he died on arrival.
