Ahmedabad: The 16-year-old handball player from Maharashtra allegedly raped by a 20-year-old Haryana athlete at Gandhinagar Hotel, in January and March, said FIR which was submitted to the sector 21 Police Gandhinagar.
The girl said in a complaint that the defendant, Ravi Dhandhas, recorded the first rape and threatened to make a viral video if he did not have sex with him every time he demanded.
The complaint was submitted on Tuesday.
According to the girl’s complaint, he came to Gandhinagar for the Indian Sports Authority Training Program (SAI) between August 2019 and January 2021.
During the program, the complainant was friends with a girl from Haryana.
His friend fell ill during the program and was treated in a civil hospital in Asarwa.
The complainant tends to his friends and their bonds are getting stronger, said FIR.
The complainant said that his friend introduced him to Dhakhas who was looking for a complainant number and they began talking by telephone.
The complainant said that in January, he did not manage to order train tickets to his original place.
“Dhadhas told me to stay at a hotel in the 16 sector in Gandhinagar for two days,” said the complainant.
“He assured me that he would help me get a train ticket.
He also told me that he would pay for a hotel room.” On January 10, Dhakhas came to a hotel room where the complainant lived with his friend.
“Dhadhas told my friend to go to another room and after he left, he locked the room and raped me,” the complainant said.
He said that he finally went to his place of origin but Dhandhas kept calling him and pressing him to meet him.
“He threatened to make my video viral,” he said.
Because of intense pressure from Dhakhas, he returned to Gandhinagar in March.
He said that he took him to the same hotel and raped him again.
The complainant said that Dhandhas continued to threaten him after the second attack.
He finally revealed his trials to his parents who submitted a complaint application with Amravati police.
This kasing was then transferred to Gandhinagar police.
Sector 21 Police Gandhinagar has registered rape complaints and has requested the provisions of Pocso (Children’s protection from sexual violations).
