Kalyan: The body parts that decompose from an unknown man around 24 to 25 years are packaged in a plastic bag found near Kasara Ghat in Thane Rural.
The body is cut into several parts.
Kasara police have submitted a murder case and looked for cases of missing people in the same age group to identify the deceased.
The parts of the body were found at Jawahar Phata Road between Kasara Ghat and the train line when they passed – observed the stench from the bag and was informed to the local police.
Ganesh Mali, Police Assistant Police Inspector Kasara, said, “The main probe shows that someone killed the man elsewhere and threw away the body here”.
