Kolhapur: The Soapur collector Milind Shambharkar partly lifted the curfew that was put in place in five Talukas – Malshiras, Madha, Karmala, Sangola and Pandharpur – from the district.
Five Talukas were placed under tight curfew on August 13.
Over the past 10 days, all shops that are not important are closed and all functions and events are prohibited from being in the midst of a surge in Covid cases in two weeks before August 13.
Now the case reduces so that the collector has decided to lift the curfew on weekdays.
The curfew will take effect at 5pm on weekdays and throughout the weekend.
At the beginning of the curfew, five Talukas contributed to 86% of the total case of Rural Solapur.
Shambharkar said, “Residents must follow the corresponding behavior of Covid.
The administration has been asked to ensure a strict implementation of orders.” Of the total 4,000 active cases in the rural Solapur, five talukas have 3,300 cases.
The remaining six talukas have 700 active cases.
These cases were reported more than the rural part of five Talukas who opposed the city of Pandharpur and Malshiras.
While the high active case in this five talukas, the daily count has dropped below 100 in each of these places, providing assistance to administration and citizens.
“Important stores will remain open every day.
Shopping centers will remain closed.
Functions and events are permitted with limited number of participants.
Staff from all companies allowed must have a negative RT-PCR test report with no more than 15 days,” Shambharkar said.
