MUMBAI: While Friday was humid and hot, IMD has predicted thunderstorms with rain, lightning and gusty wind reaching around 30-40 kmph at isolated regions, being quite likely throughout the weekend to elements of Mumbai, Thane and Palghar.
Dr M Rajeevan, secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, on Twitter on Friday stated, IMD versions suggest that the monsoon low pressure forming over northern Bay of Bengal from June 11, that is going to be the very first monsoon system.
