Pune: Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Maharera) has coordinated with 13 district collectorate, including Pune, to carry out 717 delayed recovery warrants, with a total RS 633 Crore, which was issued on legitimate developers in the past four years.
Of the 717 warrants, the suburb of the city of Mumbai leads to 302, followed by Pune (162) and Thane (99).
The warrants were issued in connection with 256 projects, where 83 was in Pune, 63 on the outskirts of Mumbai and 41 Ine.
Other collectors include Raigad, Alibaug, Palghar, Mumbai City, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nashik, Chandrapur, Sindhudurg and Satara.
The source said Maharera Chairman Ajoy Mehta had started talks with the income secretary and several district collectors to carry out this order as early as possible for the benefit of home buyers.
Maharera officers who tested it issued a warrant against developers under the real estate law (regulation and development).
They are forwarded to the collector to attach the properties and recovery of contributions.
Maharera Secretary Vasant Prabhu told TII that he would display a list with details of the recovery warrant on the Maharera website and the collectors have been communicated about the implementation of Warrants.
