Kuala Lumpur: The former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, 96, has been sent home from a hospital after a successful medical procedure, said the National Institute of Heart on Thursday.
“He will continue the process of recovery and recovery at home,” the Institute said in a statement.
It didn’t say what Mahathir procedure, who had a history of heart problems, had experienced.
Mahathir was the prime minister from 1981 to 2003 and held the top position again from 2018 to 2020.
Nonagenarians, who were still active parliamentarians, were treated at the Institute last Friday, the second months that he had been hospitalized.
He was hospitalized on December 16 before being dismissed a week later.
