Lucknow: Two more districts at Uttar Pradesh became Covid-19 for free on Thursday, taking the total number of districts to five.
According to the official bulletin in the status of Coronavirus in the state, Mahoba and Hathras joined Aligarh, Lalitpur and Sraverti with zero active cases.
Meanwhile, the total number of active cases falls to 1,428 which means that cases run below 1,500-mark after a gap more than 14 weeks.
As many as 34 districts were left with 10 or fewer cases while only Lucknow (127) and Kushinagar (108) had more than 100 active cases.
The official bulletin also shows that only 90 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, took the overall calculation to 17.07,585.
Of the total reported cases, 16.83,453 has recovered that speaks for the recovery rate of around 98.6%.
Of the total districts, 27 recorded zero cases while others recorded nine or fewer cases.
Lucknow is the only exception with 10 cases.
Two deaths were also recorded in the last 24 hours with a total of 22,704.
However, experts warn against the recovery of the prevention protocol of Covid-19.
Although the case has decreased, the Pandemic virus is still active and the transmission opportunities are very high.
They also said that new strains of viruses are active in various parts of the country, which adds to the risk.
Officials also reminded people that the prevention protocol for all the virus was the same.
