Kolkata: A runner in Maidan was stabbed and the other two were threatened with Gunpoint around Dawn on Wednesday.
Both of them did the defendant were arrested from the ISTAL and Benijukur.
According to the police, MD Imran aka Totla (33) and Samer Hussein SK alias Saboo (33) robbed Posta Resident Govavind Vyas (24) who jogged near the Fortress William on the Red Road, as well as two morning pedestrians – Resident of Bowbazar Rakesh Rana (49) and Resident Jalan SN Banerjee Sachin Kumar Shaw (21).
The place where the incident occurred two accused the Rode Down Kidderpore Road on the scooter and tried to rob Vyas near the oval kidderpore around 5.15 in the morning.
When one of them asked Vyas to hand over the iPhone and valuable items, a strong Vyas, a regular runner in Maidan, refused and tried to clamp it on the ground.
Another accusation issued a knife and stabbed him repeatedly.
When Vyas fell, a massive bloody from his head, his hands and legs, the defendant escaped with the cellphone to the Outram Road.
Five minutes later, they robbed shutter and shaw in Gunpoint near Mohammedan Sporting Ground and fled with two cellphones and Rs 4,500.
Morning pedestrians found Vyas lying in a pool of blood and got information.
He was taken to the SSKM hospital.
“Our son has been released, but he has received three dozen stitches,” said a family member.
The police arrested the defendant in nine hours.
“We caught both of them around 3pm,” said CP together (crime) Murlidhar Sharma.
The police registered a case based on the complaint submitted by the shutter and marked the Vyas incidence for it.
CCTV footage of incidents has been collected and the police will look for trials on the camera accused.
They said the defendant had an anteceden and their record was being examined.
