Maintaining Biz Operations, Financial Health The biggest challenge for auto cos on 2022: MG motor

New Delhi: The biggest challenge in 2022 for the automotive industry will maintain business operations and ensure financial health amid various challenges, including global semiconductor deficiencies, according to the top Indian motorbike officials.
At present, the domestic market witnesses increasing demand, but is also affected by the shortcomings of global semiconductors, which have achieved production activities.
“New normal has set a unique challenge for this industry.
The biggest challenge is to maintain business operations and ensure the health of the organization’s financial and stakeholders.
With the industry that shows resilience for the past two years, we looked at 2022 with 2022 with careful optimism , “MG Motor India President & Managing Director Rajeev Chaba stated.
The situation will remain fluidic in 2022 because of the unpredictable factor – Covid-19, global semiconductor deficiency, shipping costs and many other cost implications, he added.
Chaba notes that the company is committed to meeting the high demand from its customers and invests to increase factory capacity to reduce further waiting time.
“The company tries to meet increasing demand and work towards the strengthening of the MG family in India,” he said.
Chaba said the company witnessed signs of positive consumer sentiment because demand was hidden and expected demand to increase with the turn of the year.
“We have witnessed the growth of the 56 percent year with retail 37,723 units (January-November 2021) more than 24,152 units sold in the same period last year,” he said.
However, the current level of production is influenced and will remain so in the next quarter due to the shortcomings of the global semiconductor chip, Chaba added.
Car makers, who sell models such as Hector and Astor, are also looking to expand electric vehicle line-ups in this country.
“In our efforts to expand access to a wider customer segment, we will bring to the second EV country, driven by government clarity on the EV road map.
We are aligned to play our role in seeing that direction meets the reality faster than.
Then,” Chaba said.
The ZS EV company continues to attract customers in India with an average of around 700 bookings per month, he added.
