Major General of the Crusade: Saving Trees to Susah Law

Myusuru: General Major SG Vombatere (REPD), who has been looking for the Intervention of the Supreme Court to foster incitement law, is an active cross army about social, environmental and developmental problems.
Vombatere (79), who retired as a discipline and additional vigilance in HQ, has become a resident of Mysuru for the past three decades where it has opposed projects that have a negative impact on people.
He was reluctant to talk about his appeal to incitement law for security reasons.
He also refused to talk about his personal life and prefer people to focus on his work.
Among the causes he had done opposed the hot power plant in Chamalapura near Mysuru, to inform the tree at Boulevard Narasimharaja Heritage and protect the inheritance building in the city.
He was a green campaigner who used a bicycle to move around the city.
A few months ago, he objected to the building that appeared in the army canteen.
He met Commissioner Corporation City Mysuru and asked for details.
NS Rangaraju historian said Vombatere was a man with high principles.
“He is a member of the MySuru Heritage Committee and once he left the meeting because the deputy commissioner was 15 minutes late.
He left a letter asking for bureaucrats to be on time,” he recalled.
Vombatere led the campaign to save trees at the foot of the Bukit Chamundi.
The trees must be accessed to expand the stretch.
He also joined the leader of Narmada Bachao Andolan Medha Patkar at the peak of agitation and invited him to Mysuru to create awareness about it.
Vombatere, who had a PhD in the structural dynamics of IIT, Madras, has published 450 papers in the national and international journals.
