NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said it’s a”large relief” the Class 12 board examinations are cancelled.
His opinion came following the Centre chose to cancel the CBSE Class 12 board examinations amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic throughout the nation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the choice was taken from the interest of pupils and the stress among pupils, teachers and parents have to be placed to a conclusion.
Earlier in the afternoon, Kejriwal had stated that the examinations must be cancelled in light of this Covid circumstance and pupils have been assessed on the basis of previous performance.

“I’m glad 12th tests are cancelled.
We all were very concerned about the health of our kids.
A huge relief,” Chief Minister Kejriwal tweeted.
His deputy Manish Sisodia, that was against the concept of conducting the examinations from the specified situation, also stated,”I’m happy the never-ending course 12 for 1.5 crore pupils of the nation will ultimately finish.”
The choice to cancel the examination has been obtained at a high speed assembly chaired by Modi where it had been determined that the CBSE will require action to Maximize the outcomes of Class 12 pupils according to a well-defined goal criteria in an independently way.
Kejriwal had previously tweeted Hindi:”Pupils and parents are very worried about Course 12 board examinations.
They need the examinations shouldn’t be conducted .
I appeal to the Centre the tests be cancelled along with the test be performed based on their last performance.”
The CBSE needed on April 14 declared delivery of Class 10 examinations and postponement of all Class 12 examinations in perspective of spike in coronavirus instances.
The Ministry of Education had lately searched detailed suggestions in states and union territories on suggestions discussed at a high-level assembly on the matter.
The government had advised that the Supreme Court, which is hearing a request looking the test’s cancellation, it is going to take a last decision by June 3.
