Chennai: In an effort to make the head of the company and the municipalities appropriately responsible for the deaths of manual scavenging, Madras HC has directed them to apply for a written business with the effect that there is no manual scavenger job that is permitted to do in their jurisdiction.
“The court can, in the end, suggests such an effort equipped with any commissioner relating to the corporation or head of the municipality when assuming the office in the future,” the first bench from the Chairman of Judge Sanjib Banerjee and Justice PD Audikesavalu said on Wednesday.
It passes through the order on the batch of a request that is looking to end the manual scavenger.
