Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday asked Rural Development Department (RDD) to ensure that all poor families who qualified to get a Pucca house built well under the Pradhan Mantri Beware of Yojana – Grameen (PMAY-G) or Mukhya Mantri Yojana ( Mmgay).
When he led the meeting to review the progress of PMAY-G and MMGAY in the state, he also asked officials to ensure that the beneficiaries who met the single requirements from getting Pucca’s house under the two schemes.
“This is our goal that all beneficiaries who meet the requirements of getting a Pucca house.
The official must monitor on the ground regularly to ensure that no one meets the remaining requirements,” Nitish said during the meeting, held in the Hall of the CM ‘Sankalp’.
He further asked officials to accelerate the construction of a house that was approved under PMAY-G and MMGAY to ensure that all recipients who qualified to get the earliest home.

The state government provides assistance of Rs 60,000 per family under the vas-sthal kray yojana to buy land to build a house for the BPL family that does not have their own land.
Nitish also said that if someone has been approved by funds to build a Pucca house under PMAY-G and he does not have a small piece of land to build a house, a qualified family must be given assistance Rs 60,000 under the vas-sthal kray yojana so that beneficiaries can buy Land for their own home.
Previously, the main secretary (RDD) Arvind Kumar Choudhary, through the presentation, provided detailed information to CM about the number of houses approved, finishing the house and looking forward to the house under the housing scheme.
Choudhary said more than 26.94 lakh houses have so far been approved under PMAY-G in Bihar.
At present, Bihar is in third place in this country in terms of implementing PMAY-G.
The national average completing the scheme is around 78 percent while Bihar is at 86 percent.
“Under Mmgay, at all 13,199 homes so far it was approved.
From them, 8,753 was finished,” Choudhary said to CM.
